STUDENT SUPPORT

Our school provides a safe and friendly environment where each individual is recognised, valued and respected.

Each student is encouraged to find expression for his/her talents and develop to his/her full potential.

St. Colman’s CC has a well-developed Pastoral Care sytem. Our student support team, our year heads and class tutors are central to this system. A real strength of the school lies in the fact that all members of staff, teaching and non-teaching, play an important role in supporting and caring for students.

Our learning support teachers work with students providing additional support when required.

St Colman’s C.C is fortunate to have two Guidance Counsellors to provide advice and support in the area of planning for entry to third level education and to provide counselling where necessary.

The Home School Community Liaison Co-ordinator at St Colman’s is actively involved in promoting the educational interests of students by fostering close links between the home, school and local community.

The school boasts a modern canteen facility where healthy hot and cold food options are available to all students.
