All Transition Year students study the following core subjects and modules:

Option Subjects
Option Subjects
We offer 21 subject options in Transition year these are the subject options that are available for Leaving Certificate.
Transition year students study 7 option subjects .
. We ask students to select 10 subjects in order of preference (1-10) in VSWare, and we try to select the 7 highest preferences of these.
For many this will be their first 7 preferences, however we cannot guarantee this as practical subjects in particular have max class sizes that are permitted in schools.
Continental Language:
If the student studied German for JC this must be selected subject from 1 of the 7 subjects ( please selct as option 1 )
If the student studied Spanish for JC this must be selected 1 of the 7 subjects ( please select as option 1)
If the student studied neither spanish or german for JC they do not select either spanish or german in their 10 preferences
Students are free not to choose a continental language when they enter 5th year

Changing Subjects if a Change of Mind
Changing Subjects if a Change of Mind
Parents can log back in at any time during the subject options choosing period and change subjects chosen and this will overwrite the previous selection.
After this date it is very difficult to change subjects as many subjects are full and subjects blocks are set.
