Literacy
Using the EAL keywords tool in English, History and Science with our 1st year students.
Working to increase the number of our Junior cycle students who read for pleasure.
Numeracy
Working to increase the number of our students to see numeracy in every subject.
Working to increase the number of our students who take Higher Level Maths in Senior Cycle.
Attainment
Ongoing communication with our students to educate them on the direct link between punctuality, full day attendance and attainment.
Attendance
Ongoing education and communication on the advantage of full day attendance with our 4th year and 5th year students.
Retention
Working to retain all our senior cycle students until completion of state exams.
Ongoing education so that our students know that a full day attendance is linked to retention.
Partnership with Parents/
Guardians
Communicating with our parents/guardians about the importance of punctuality and full day attendance.
Raising awareness about the benefits of reading for pleasure.
Partnership with Others
Retaining and enhancing our relationships with agencies and businesses that offer Work Experience placements to our students.
Working with local Primary schools to maintain and expand on our links.
Supporting Transitions
Collating a bank of contact email addresses for our graduating students so that we can gather information about their post Leaving Cert pathways.
